Useful examples of Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs establishes himself as one of the most influential people in technological world. He was the one who was perfect at both persuasive decisions and unremitting love for technology. Steve Jobs is also known for great passion that he spread to other people to motivate others. Therefore, Steve Jobs is a perfect “dictionary” for good examples in SAT.

As a boy, Jobs and his father would work on electronics in the family garage. Paul would show his son how to take apart and reconstruct electronics, a hobby that instilled confidence, tenacity and mechanical prowess in young Jobs.

This example shows that Steve Jobs, as a boy, developed a talent and a great passion for studying technology. We can use this example for supporting the point that talent and passion have to be built from childhood in order for the child to get a full and thorough view on his or her own career in the future. we can use this examples to answer the question: “Does a passion come from instant encounter or from a well-built childhood”. A passion is mostly well-built from childhood in order to create a true success in profession. A passion of a child needs to be nurtured by an adult in order to maintain the even levels of improvement.

Useful examples of Nelson Mandela

Mandela took classes in a one-room school next to the palace, studying English, Xhosa, history and geography. It was during this period that Mandela developed an interest in African history, from elder chiefs who came to the Great Palace on official business. He learned how the African people had lived in relative peace until the coming of the white people. According to the elders, the children of South Africa had previously lived as brothers, but white men had shattered this fellowship. While black men shared their land, air and water with whites, white men took all of these things for themselves.

He went on to attend the Clarkebury Boarding Institute and Healdtown, a Methodist secondary school, where he excelled in boxing and track as well as academics. In 1939 Mandela entered the elite University of Fort Hare, the only Western-style higher learning institute for South African blacks at the time

Useful examples of Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. :His grandfather began the family’s long tenure as pastors of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, serving from 1914 to 1931; his father has served from then until the present, and from 1960 until his death Martin Luther acted as co-pastor.

This example states clearly that an ability can be largely influenced by childhood background: King has his father a co-pastor and his grandfather a pastor too, so King would earn the early ability to give speech and would be likely to succeed in pursuing a career of a preacher fighting against racism. We can also defend the point that children’s passions and abilities can also be created with their parents’. We can, therefore, make an assumption that talent and ability can be inherently passed down to younger generations. Continue reading

Leaping Dancer

As my mom backs out of our driveway, I glance at the back seats to make sure my basketball gear is there, along with my schoolbooks, phone charger, and beat-up copy of Catch-22. We slowly wind through my neighborhood and over about a half dozen speed bumps, then pull onto the highway heading south with the other Sunday traffic.

Sisters

It was the middle of the day, and I was relaxing on the big couch in the family room, happily watching the last few minutes of a potential buzzer beater game. First, my oldest sister walked in, followed by the other two with their friends.

“Get out,” my youngest sister demanded, standing in front of the screen.

I knew right then that all the begging I could do wouldn’t get her to budge, or the entire group to leave me alone. But I always gave it a try.

“I’m not leaving,” I said, sinking deeper into the couch. After that, they launched into their threats and other attempts to push me out of their girl world. Continue reading
